This is not my initial use. I truly enjoy using the sponges. They don't get cut when cleaning knives. They hold up well for hard to clean pots. well worth the cost.

I know it's hard to believe, but when Grill Rescue says these sponges last forever, they are absolutely not kidding. I bought a ton of these through the original Kickstarter, and received mine roughly a year ago in 2023 at the time of this review (October 17th, 2024). If I'm honest, I just liked the look and design, and they were priced well. I was absolutely sure there was no way they could live up to their claims, but - shockingly and surprisingly - they have not only met the lofty promises given by Grill Rescue, they've 1000000000% absolutely exceeded them. I'm still using the same sponge from a year ago. It has been a daily sponge, in the dishwasher multiple times (and microwaved in between each washing to help kill bacteria), boiled a few times, it's been soaked in Lysol/409 spray and bleach (different kinds even!), AND YET, it has tackled everything from glasses to plates to skillets with burnt on oil and frond with AMAZING results while STILL looking new. It's soft enough to not damage anything, but durable and strong enough to remove tough, grimy food. It's not as abrasive as steel wool or other overly rigid scrubbers (so you'll likely need something like that here and there), but it easily works for 99% of the dishwashing needs/jobs you'd want out of a sponge. I mean, if you let stuff soak, then this is the only sponge you'll ever need. I've even had it get misplaced down in my disposal a few times, and then accidentally turned on the disposal while it was inside it, and it came out with NO damage. It's not like I kept it down there long or did this frequently, but the same sponge I've used for a year now has had this happen maybe a handful of times and it STILL looks amazing. I'm just pleasantly flabbergasted by how amazing this sponge works. I used to buy cheap ones from the grocery store, and they'd maybe last 2-3 weeks at most. Meanwhile, I'm stocked up on Forever Sponges with more than enough to last the rest of my life. Seriously, this is a true BIFL - Buy It For Life - product. PLEASE, Grill Rescue - PLEASE never change how this sponge is manufactured! I cannot believe you thought to create a sponge that is this tough and durable, KNOWING that people wouldn't need to constantly buy replacements. PLEASE keep these as the incredibly high quality, amazing products they are. I mean, when was the last time you heard about someone giving these out as gifts? Because I'm doing that as a silly gag gift for friends and family this year - everyone is getting a sponge (not unlike how I love to give everyone a pair of socks and candy). I'm super picky about cleaning and being organized, and I am one of those people who is always looking for something that will last forever, as then it's just one less thing to worry about. I can safely and absolutely and emphatically say that these sponges are worth it, and you should buy yourself a dozen right now and be set for LIFE. Fantastic sponge!!!

I have been using the forever sponge for about a month now and love it. Does not scratch your pans or stainless steel stove.

Okay, I wanted to give this thing a while before writing review, see if it really lasted... Here we are 10 months later, and the sponge is seriously 99% like new! The only difference is that the shape isn't quite rectangular, and really that doesn't matter in the slightest. It's not smelly (we occasionally put it in the dishwasher, but not even weekly), it's easy to hold no matter how soapy, it holds soap well. My one and only complaint is that it doesn't scrub well, so we do keep a little scrub pad handy for tougher jobs. We got a two pack, and I think it'll be years yet before we start using the second one I didn't honestly believe it would last even this long, but the lack of wear and tear after 10 months gives truth to the name.

So happy with this purchase!

I ordered this product on 6/6/24 as part of their Father’s Day sale. I haven’t received any tracking updates, so on 6/16/24 I reached out about the products I ordered. The response was a bunch of excuses and “You will receive a tracking link by the next week at the absolute latest.” That was a lie because I didn’t. I reached out again on 6/18/24 and 6/26/24 requesting a refund and to cancel my order with no response. I finally receive tracking information on 7/3/24 and a response on 7/8/24 saying my order shipped so I can’t get a refund. My order was delivered on 7/10/24. I paid $14.92 for shipping!!! It should not have taken more than a month for my package to be delivered. I will never buy from this company again. Way overpriced for what you get and terrible customer service.

Sponge is great! It stands up to soap and water.

A little undecided right now. It’s a little bigger than I thought it would be and not sure what my thoughts are when cleaning dishes yet. It just feels different. Feels like it doesn’t spread soap as well as I would expect.

Wow! I am such a fan! I no longer feel I have to be careful cleaning my food processor blades, sharp kitchen knives- this sponge is saving my hands from cuts and saving me time. I have found that it helps me save on dish soap, too - needs far less to go farther. I can count on this sponge to foam or soap up without having to reach for the dish soap very often.

Finally a sponge that can stand up to our grill and REALLY get it clean!

I bought the Rescue sponge for myself and my five grown kids for Christmas. Have been using it since then and we all love them. They simply do NOT ever get stinky! Great product. I do use something different for tough, baked-on food, but for general hand washing, your sponge can't be beat.

Bought 3 Forever sponges on the initial starter. These have been excellent. They either go in dishwasher or into darks wash. Happy that we are not adding a sponge every week to waste also. Extremely satisfied we took the risk. Third one went to S-in-law, she is now buying two more as the last 3 months she has been impressed with the durability.

Great product, gets a little funky after a few weeks, 30 sec in the microwave did the trick. I will order again, but want to get the 30 bucks out of this one first.

The only thing I have to say is “ This is definitely the best thing since sliced bread “ since this is the forever sponge it should still look like this a year from now‍♀️so stay tuned.

I've had 2 forever sponges for a few months now. Pros: They are durable and hard to cut. So far they seem to mostly keep their shape. They're not nearly as gross as regular sponges get and I switch back and forth between 2 each week. Great suds retention. Typically enough cleaning/scrubbing power for most of my average dish needs. Save money and don’t have to remember to buy new sponges all the time. Cons: You can't cut them but they do snag on pointy or rough surfaces which is frustrating. I snagged one within a day of getting it and it pulled some of the outer material away, so there are some things they don't work well on. It makes me wonder if that lets bacteria into the inside layers, which makes me nervous. I'm not sure about retaining shape long term, as they sometimes get a little bunched up. They're not great for scrubbing harder or caked on dish messes, and that can be frustrating. And there's no way to really confirm it’s actually antibacterial, so we're running on trust with that one. Overall I like them but I do have concerns.

The sponge is nice. I've cleaned knives and it doesn't seem to effect the material. It's sorta thick, but not overkill. It holds suds well. It's smooth, so sometimes you might need a more abrasive material but it does clean well. It's aesthetically pleasing, a nice grey color. I'm hoping it truly does last a while. It sure seems like it should. Not sure what else to say.

The Forever Sponge is quite impressive. It works very well on my non-stick cookware and on drinking glasses with decorations. I might order two more so I can have a couple waiting to wash with towels, while I still have a fresh one available to use. I have been searching for a washable dish sponge forever! I've finally got one! :^)
